Must we keep our white cat indoors, or can she go outside in indirect sunlight, in the shade on sunny day?
Worried about our white cat developing cancer due to UV light. Can white cats handle indirect sunlight, or is it best to just keep them indoors on sunny days, and let her out only on overcast days?
Cats should always be kept indoors, no matter what colour they are. I keep my three inside, as I lost three in the past, to the road, and I don’t want to lose these cats, now. Cats are a nuisance to drivers, as they just dart across the streets, and if a driver were to swerve to avoid missing the cat, an accident can occur. Some people think it’s O.K. to put them out at night. But, I drive during the night, and I have hardly missed so many cats while driving. Thank goodness, dogs are not allowed to be loose anymore, or I’d have to avoid hitting them, too.
