I own a 2001 BMW 530i the driver’s electric seat adjustment quit working and the elec steering wheel adjustmen?
The driver’s electric seat adjustment quit working and the electric steering wheel adjustment quit working. I have checked the fuses.

There are quite a number of issues involved here.
First check that the cable connector to the driver’s seat adjustment switch is connected properly since this usually falls off if the seat end cover is damaged. This is not the case with the steering adjustment motors.
Then check fuses nos. 13 (30 amps), 21 (5 amps) which are inside the glove box. Check also fuse 113 (80 amps) at the right rear side of the trunk.
Relay K72 controls both steering and seat memory functions and should be checked/replaced. It is behind the glove box, is the middle
lower relay among 3, and has a black connector.
If the above does not eliminate the problems, then the General Module
(Basic) and the Seat/Steering column memory module have to be diagnosed using a BMW GT1/Dis.
I suggest that you bring the car to a dealer or a good independent BMW repair shop.
