Wars Miniatures

Give your little genius a fun as well as educational party for his/her upcoming birthday! With a Lego-themed birthday party, you’ll surely have all guests busy and happy for hours! Here’s how…
Party Invites
Cut out several 12″x12″ scrapbook paper just like the size of an envelope, then decorate their fronts with Lego stickers and other theme related embellishments.
Another option would be to have pieces of the Lego blocks (with the same color) pieced together into one flat layer. Then jot down the name of your little kid on the smooth and flat side using a permanent marker. Next is to take apart the whole block then include one piece of this Lego block to each Lego-themed invitation card. Remind all the party guests to take with them their Lego pieces to the party so that they can work on the ‘Secret Lego Message’. When everybody arrives, let thekid piece the puzzle together to unravel the secret message.
Another cool birthday invite idea is to purchase inexpensive yellow t-shirts, then print out several bright and colorful small designs on an iron-on transfer. Include the names of each guest on the front of each shirt. Ask them to wear the birthday party t-shirts when they come to the party.
Party Menu
Make everybody’s stomachs happy with a delicious string of party foods such as pizzas, baby carrots with dip, apple slices, submarine sandwiches, gold fish crackers, pretzels, and a big Lego piece cake!
Fun Party Favors
Surprise the little kiddies with fun theme-related party favors such as: comic books, chewing gums, silly putty, paddle balls, plastic miniatures of animals/aliens/rockets, card games and of course a set of Legos.
Party Venue Decorations
Have bright primary colors as your Lego party color scheme! Use party decors, paper products, party centerpieces and invitations in reds, yellows, greens and blues. Also prop up some giant Lego pieces in the party hall by painting large unused boxes with bright-colored paints. Attach several colored plastic cups, where about 2” from each of the cup’s tops are cut off until the bottoms are left.
Also have some road signs by getting a sturdy cardboard or a foam core and putting a sign on it, such as ‘(the birthday child’s name) Lego City’/stop signs, street signs/one way signs. Put these signs in some parts of the birthday party hall where Lego games and activities will be held.
Hang brightly colored streamers and balloons all over the party area, then prepare several 12”x12” Lego-themed scrapbook papers as party place mats. Add stickers, letterings of the kiddies’ names or some interesting Lego facts on each of the party place mats.
Party Games and Activities
Host a Lego Drop, where you need to obtain a glass jar with a slim opening. Let everyone take turns in trying to drop pieces of Legos into the glass jar propped between their feet.
Another fun game is the Lego party version of ‘Simon Says’, called the ‘Brickmaster Says’.
Finally, have a Bridge Contest. Obtain several large bulk tubs of Lego as well as small paper bags. Fill these paper bags with pieces that are exactly the same. Add some sturdy and durable construction items and also some small and odd decorative pieces. Distribute them to the kids and instruct them to build one sturdy and strong bridge for only 5 minutes. After the designated time, using one uncooked egg then see if the bridges could support this egg. Give out awards for the best construction, best design, etc.!

Miniature Civil War Iron Mortar $13.99 The 8″ mortar was considered a “siege” weapon. Even at its weight of over 1/2 a ton, it was light enough to be transported via a mortar wagon. This allowed the gun to be used in conjunction with the infantry. Mortars usually fired round shot similar in appearance to that of a bowling ball. The overall damage created by a mortar bombardment rarely did major physical damage, but the psychological ef… |

Dawn Patrol [VHS] $6.00 The Dawn Patrol is a beautiful title for two very good movies Warner Bros. made eight years apart, in 1930 and 1938. Both tell the same World War I story (which won a 1930 Academy Award for John Monk Saunders), about a succession of flight commanders at a British air base in France. Each officer in turn has to keep sending pilots out on dangerous, often insane missions in flimsy, patched-up planes… |
