This might be the year you surprise your family with an early holiday gift of a portable road DVD for your car. Stage a Sing Along. Put in a musical DVD, anything from “The Little Mermaid” to “The Sound of Music”. Something your family knows the music to. You can only hear yourselves so let loose and sing along. Make up your own lyrics. It’s silly and fun and kids will be laughing to hard to pick on each other.
Movie Night. This is even more fun if you’re traveling at night. Surprise everyone by getting a blockbuster latest release that everyone’s been waiting to see. Snuggle up with blankets and pass a tub of popcorn that you fixed ahead of time. An action flick where you can cheer the good guy and boo the villain are especially fun.
Snooze Time. Make sure everyone gets their naps, put in the most boring educational DVD you can find and give the driver some quiet time!

How do I take a Read Only off a Video DVD?
Someone sent me a DVD of pictures of a trip we took. I wanted to save a few of his photos off the Video DVD to put in MY iphoto. I noticed it had a read only on the dvd. How can I copy/save some of his photos?
Umm.. you should be able to copy pictures off the dvd to another computer or device. Read-only usually means that you can’t add more files to the DVD either because it has been finalized or it’s not a DVD-RW.
