Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility- How can I start the treasure hunt?
I have no idea how to start the treasure hunt! I need some items from it but I’m not sure who to talk to about it. Help??

The only “treasure hunt” I know of in the game is not one that is triggered by a certain character but rather a scavenger hunt for items already hidden around the island. (I hope this is what you’re talking about.) Just look for a red and white gift box, and that gift box will have a note in it that leads to the location of the next gift box, and so on. There are 5 total presents.
The first one is in Waffle Town. Go down the road with the Mayor’s house, and then turn off the path behind the Mayor’s backyard onto a small stretch of disconnected beach, and you should find it. (I’ve heard it described as being “behind the lighthouse,” but – while true – I thought that might be a bit confusing because the beach strip you need is not connected to the beach you’d probably associate with the lighthouse… if any of that makes sense.)
Keep in mind that there is one gift box note that leads to a place called Brownie Ranch… which you can’t access until you can break the large rock at the far left of Ganache Mine District with a Level 3-skill hammer, or until the last day of Spring when the area automatically opens for a festival. If you’re like me, the latter will come first. xD Just don’t forget the quest and what you need to look for once you open Brownie!
