Why was a Union Stage Hand fired for wearing a Bush hoody sweatshirt at an Obama Rally?

First of all, he wasn’t fired. He was sent home from a call. There is a big difference. Second, it is unprofessional for a stage hand to wear ANY logo’d clothing other than a venue crew or IATSE shirt. I’m sure he isn’t new to the industry. Being sent home shouldn’t have been a big surprise. Relax everyone, he’ll be back at work tomorrow.
