How did the T-Rex have sex?
For an animal this huge, I’d think his dino dong would be proportionally sized, no?
But, according to the “anatomically correct” illustration below, the T-Rex had no genitalia at all.

We simply do not know whether T. rex had genitalia or not. We don’t even know how to tell a male from a female when we find a skeleton. The most complete T. rex skeleton found is named Sue, not because people are sure it is female, but because it was named after the person who discovered the skeleton.
As you may have guessed, we simply do not know how T. rex mated, and whether it had a penis or not. The closest living relatives of T. rex are crocodilians and birds. Crocodilians have a penis, but a vast majority of birds do not, even though some birds have it. Therefore there are competing hypotheses as to whether the common ancestor of all birds had a penis and then most birds subsequently lost it, or whether this common ancestor lacked a penis but it has independently evolved in the groups that have it. Considering the fact that a penis is advantageous in being able to outcompete other males that has a shorter one in polyandrous species, it is difficult to image how natural selection could have favored the loss of the penis in some males and that such losses are so widespread in so many lineages of birds. Therefore it would seem more likely than not that the ancestor of all living birds lacked a penis. Of course whether or not that is true has no bearing on whether dinosaurs had copulatory organs or whether they simply lined up their cloacas and the male then squirts sperm inside the female, as most birds do.
Since soft tissue preservation is rare, the question of how dinosaurs mated may be a question that will forever remain a mystery.
