Cannot communicate leapster explorer with leapfrog connect?
I have tried all options I can find online to get my daughters leapster explorer to connect to the online Leap Frog Connect application.Different usb ports,uninstalling and reinstalling,turning on and off the device, updating the driver,turned off the firewall,put in new batteries. I have spent all day on this matter and have been on hold for over 2 hours with their customer service department and am still on hold. Please does anyone have any information to get this device to work .
This is what I found with my TAG Reader (not the explorer), but it may be the same issue:
My problem: I got the LeapFrog Connect software installed, but it would not recognize my TAG reader pen. When I plugged the TAG reader into the usb port it turned on correctly, but the LeapFrog Connect software didn’t do anything. Eventually, I figured out that theTAG reader wasn’t getting enough power from my laptop usb ports.
Solution: I used one of those cables that that has two usb ports at one end (that plug into the computer) and one mini-usb on the other end that plugs into my TAG reader. This allows the tag reader to get enough power and works perfectly every time. I already had the cable at home – it came with an external usb disk drive I purchased before. My tag reader is from 2009 and says 32MB on it.
