Traditional glow powered fan jets can be messy, expensive, and have a lot of structural complexities. Having an electric jet is certainly not the same as a glow powered one, but it can still give you great thrills and excitement when flying. One of the nice things about electric models is that they cost a fraction of the price of a turbine jet. You can find all types of electric model jets, some are kits that have to be built from ground up. Others, are pre-made jets, all you’d need are the batteries, and you’re good to go! Some can go surprisingly fast, others fly at lower speeds. A couple popular electric model jets have are listed below.
The F-35 Lightning 2 360 Degree Thrust Vectoring Jet, will definitely get people staring, because it is a truly amazing jet. And yes, it lives up to the ’360 degree’ part of it’s name as well. The F-35 Lightning has a 360 degree nozzle that allows it to perform all types of extreme maneuvers that have to be seen to be believed. This model jet is one of the most aerobatic jets available. Extreme moves such as tumbles, flat spins, and high alpha flight are all in this jet’s arsenal of tricks. These maneuvers are made possible due to the radical 360 degree thrust vectoring nozzle design. For all those who want to ‘push the envelope’ with an electric model jet, then the F-35 is definitely one of your best choices.
The F-35 Lightning isn’t the cheapest electric plane on the market, it cost almost 300 dollars, but the returning performance is certainly worth the money.
The T-33 Shooting Star by Kyosho is a pretty good plane for those who aren’t experienced model jet flyers yet. This jet gives you the looks and excitement of ducted fan flight, but at the same time the ease of preassembled parts and the low price of electric power. And while a traditional glow jet would require a lot of previous experience, the T-33 is a lot easier to fly and therefore requires minimal previous experience.
The fuselage and wings of the T-33 are constructed from tough, light styrene sheets. A durable plastic coating is also applied to the wings for increased strength. Also, the body of the jet goes through a special smoothing process in order to enhance the decal “stick” as well as appearance. This model jet is a real looking replica of the USAF’s T-33, with the “Thunderbird” decals adding to the realism. The T-33 model does not need any catapult or high start for takeoff, just a hand launch.

how do you make a kyosho mini z into a drifter?
special tires?
Yes all of the 10th scale drift touring cars use plastic tires. It should be the same method for the mini z. The car must be AWD (all wheel drive) or you will not be able to control it.
