Ah, Picard is far and away my favourite captain, and conveniently the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 D would have to be my favourite ship. That said, I would actually call DS9 my favourite series (it’s got politics, religion, cool and sometimes sexy aliens, and explosions – what more could you want?). Dunno if you’ve ever seen Hornblower, but Captain Pellew is right up there with Picard as best TV captain. The man would spice up Starfleet brilliantly.
